See your unwanted junk come alive in exciting and surprising ways as ordinary household items transform into extraordinary, booty-shaking musical instruments.
Join the Junkyard Beats team as they concoct a captivating experience combing dance, theatre and comedy. Collaborate with your little one and discover how to turn buckets, broom sticks, kitchen utensils, plastic bag or even your own body into a musical instrument.

Presented as a part of Conversation Starters: Temperature Rising, a weekend of art, questions and ideas.

$18 per family  ($14 MCA Members & Concessions)

*Family ticket is for 2 adults and up to 3 children (ages up to 12 years).
Extra $2 per additional child.
Infants up to 12 months old enter free.

Junkyard Beats are renowned for their dynamic rhythm performances and workshops filled with imagination, humour, fun and creativity. They present a series of high-energy routines that include body percussion, fire drumming, junk percussion, pyrotechnics and hilarious skits. Their family friendly show draws on inspiration from everyday life, the streets and the junkyard. The group have been booked for private, corporate and public event shows throughout Australia from Sydney to Perth.
